Bike Snob, Systematically & Mercilessly Realigning the World of Cycling

Out of Stock

Product Description

Somebody came in the store the other day and asked if her friend, who bikes a lot, would enjoy this book. My answer was "I can't see anybody that bikes a lot not loving this." The author, Bike Snob, has given us a book full of wit, some history, and some much needed criticism of the bike world. Some of the funniest bike writing I've ever read are the descriptions (and illustrations) of The Lone Wolf (a cyclist who will defy all stereotypes you can come up with) and The Contraption Captian (folks on recumbents.) Of the Captain, the Snob says "Cyclists all notice one another, so when we see something that looks somewhat like a bicycle yet places the rider in an odd position with his feet kicking at the air like he's defending himself from an attacking eagle we become confused and disoriented."

Beautifully designed, full of laughs, nicely illustrated, 220+ pages with a color section of photos of bikes the Snob approves and disapproves of. You can't lose with this book.
