You Won't Believe It's Vegan!
A Confession.
We did not want to carry this book because the name is a negative portrayal of veganism (in our opinion.) BUT - then I decided to peruse my promo copy after months of ignoring it....and I was swept away by tempting recipes!
I had a gigantic zucchini desperately wanting to be something other than zucchini bread....Zucchini-Pecan mini-pancakes? YES. Ohmeohmy, amazing.
Written by two women who ran an organic vegan restaurant in New Jersey called Down to Earth, the book features their loved recipes and experience from years in the kitchen. Though the restaurant is no longer, both women are still cooking up vegan food. I thank them for sharing, because the flavors are spot-on, interesting and creative! Other favorites...Broccoli Seitan Knishes, Sea Caesar, Maple-Miso Dressing, and a chapter of live foods!
