You dang Canadians are so good! Jae Steele's new book is brimming over with delectable concoctions and great ideas.

The three aspecits Steele focuses on are local food, holistic nutrition and vegan cuisine. These three criteria sometimes clash; not everyone has tofu and bananas growing in their backyard, or down the street, or in their country, even! But there are compromises we all make in our food choices, and local veggies go great with an imported olive oil, especially since a vegan won't touch butter (which may be local, but not vegan!) So goes the story of real choices in our world today.
The positives are that there are amazing vegan foods here, prepared healthfully and deliciously, with thought to how your body will respond as well as the affect our choices have on the world around us. Steele's cheery attitude and can-do/will-do vibe are refreshing, and the many color photos in the book will inspire you to COOK!
